Your Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Go-based client applications and their associated tools.
- Enhance New Relic's infrastructure through active contributions and management.
- Engage in Open Source projects to expand your skills and professional reputation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify service enhancements and explore innovative tools and services for complex challenges.
- Deliver incremental updates frequently, fostering a continuous feedback loop within the team.
- Participate in an agile environment with a DevOps mindset, where teams are responsible for their software and engage in support rotations.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development or operations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Golang, Java, Python, or Bash.
- Extensive experience with containerization technologies, including Kubernetes, Istio, and Cluster API.
- Strong foundation in application and system programming, along with Linux system administration.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) practices.
- Ability and willingness to learn new programming languages.
- Comprehensive understanding of security, reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness in distributed systems on public cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible, or Circle CI.
- Experience in API design and development using Go.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and concepts like virtualization and containerization.
- Active involvement in open source development.
