Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at Packfeeder. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the electrical systems of our innovative packaging machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for machinery, including electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using EPLAN software.
  • Implement and supervise quality control procedures to ensure that electrical systems meet required specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve electrical issues during manufacturing and ensure an efficient production process.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance guides, and design specifications.
  • Develop maintenance programs and provide technical support for troubleshooting electrical system issues.
  • Ensure that all designs and processes comply with relevant industrial standards and safety codes.
  • Plan and manage electrical projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in the design and development of electrical systems, preferably in the machinery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of design software (EPLAN), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and automation systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards and regulations (IEC, UL, CSA, etc.).
  • Experience in project management and strong organizational skills.
