We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Studio Director to lead our team in Valencia and collaborate with our San Mateo studio. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all studio operations, including employee support, facilities, and production needs.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Studio Manager/Director to ensure the studio has the necessary processes, equipment, and resources to operate effectively.
- Oversee the development of the organization's strategic goals, objectives, and mission.
- Collaborate with development managers/leads/directors to manage development cycles and ensure adherence to project management and communication best practices.
- Map out workflows, identify pain points, and implement solutions to eliminate waste, reduce errors, and increase productivity.
- Proactively address blockers and help troubleshoot resource allocation based on project needs.
- Analyze the current state of the business to improve performance and efficiency across the studio.
- Identify and implement standard processes and pipelines to enhance team effectiveness.
- Lead efforts to develop mentoring plans and foster growth and team achievement.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
- Supervise daily studio operations and ensure business actions comply with current legislation.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of operational plans.
- Foster a healthy and safe work environment, promoting the company's culture, values, and corporate policies.
- Coordinate community social responsibility initiatives with the WEX/Ops teams.
- Develop programs to evaluate team well-being and effectiveness.
- Promote the success of the studio and project.
- Excellent management and team leadership capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and cross-functional collaboration.
- Business process optimization and change agility.
- Deep understanding of production pipelines, asset tracking, and project management practices and tools.
- Strong work ethic and exceptional communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both speech and writing.
- Proactive and flexible work schedule.
- Knowledge of art, design, engineering workflows, and game engines is a plus.
