Senior Backend Developer PHP

Blue Code Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer PHP to join our team in Alicante. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions using PHP and Laravel.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of PHP experience.
  • 3+ years of MVC Framework experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL (MySql, PostgreSQL or similar).
  • Familiar with design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with Web API development, HTTP, consuming external APIs, templating frameworks like blade/twig, HTML/JS/CSS, and Linux.
  • Experience working in a team and Scrum.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Level Developer with a strong portfolio of previous work.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken (at least at a B2 level).

Full-time job – 40 hours per week. Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience and/or skills. Annual salary review. International environment. Hybrid work model – 2 days office work in Alicante + 3 days remote. Long-term stable project with internal growth potential.
