Bicycle Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bicycle Technician to join our team at La Provincia. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of bicycle mechanics, share our vision and passion for cycling, and be committed to delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming guests at the cycle center with a constant focus on their needs and providing expert advice on maintenance, upgrades, and accessories.
- Managing bike rental reservations and preparing contracts, as well as performing routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of bicycles.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues with precision, assembling new bicycles according to manufacturer specifications, and customizing bicycles based on customer preferences and specifications.
- Conducting thorough inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of each bicycle, testing ride bicycles after repairs or modifications to ensure proper performance, and keeping track of bicycle parts, accessories, and tools inventory.
- Maintaining accurate records of repairs, services, and customizations, as well as leading group bike rides for resort guests and providing support to other sports areas.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as proven experience as a Cycle Mechanic or similar role.
- Experience in Shimano and SRAM latest technology, in-depth knowledge of bicycle components, systems, and repair techniques, and strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; proficiency in additional languages such as German and Danish is highly valued, as well as basic digital skills to effectively manage rental bookings, handle inventory, and perform tasks specific to the department.
- Strong proficiency in reading maps and excellent orientation skills, ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and certification in bicycle mechanics is a plus.
