Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing advanced commodity strategies for selected components to meet business expectations and capture value across the value chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation of the regional or global commodity strategy and supporting the overall procurement strategy roadmap.
  • Managing the full sourcing process, including demand/market analysis, RFIs, RFPs, negotiations, contracting, and supplier awarding, in close collaboration with key stakeholders and in line with SGRE's policies and processes.
  • Identifying regional or global suppliers, markets, or regions for assigned groups of sub-commodities, semi-products, services portfolio in the various BUs of SGRE.
  • Keeping close contact with internal/external interface partners to build and maintain a communicative purchasing network, recognize developments.
  • Analyzing and discussing technical specifications in cooperation with cross-functions and demand owners.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Construction, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any equivalent.
  • +7 years of work experience in the procurement area and a proven track record, ideally in a global organization.
  • Strong commercial and technical understanding and knowledge of procurement, project management, and international contract law.
  • Experience in advanced international negotiations, strategic sourcing, and people management.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, SAP, e-tendering, S2C-/P2P processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to manage and interact in teams.
  • Language: English (fluent), preferably an additional language.
