As a Supplier Quality Expert, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and ensuring the quality of suppliers within the designated business area. Your responsibilities will include implementing Supplier Quality Management (SQM) requirements, focusing on preventive measures, technical specifications, and supplier qualifications. You will serve as the primary contact for Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) within cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize preventive quality strategies to minimize risks and enhance quality standards.
- Develop, maintain, and refine specific quality requirements and specifications based on supplier categorization.
- Collaborate with purchasing and technology teams to qualify and approve suppliers.
- Oversee product and process qualifications, ensuring compliance with established specifications.
- Negotiate and create Quality Assurance agreements, monitoring their implementation in supplier operations.
- Plan and conduct Supplier Audits, ensuring follow-up on audit actions.
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and participate in supplier development initiatives.
- Manage complaints to identify and analyze non-conformances, facilitating effective communication with suppliers.
- Support the standardized supplier qualification process in alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Lead the qualification and re-qualification of suppliers in accordance with internal procedures.
- Conduct thorough product and process qualifications using the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) approach.
- Ensure supplier product and process quality meets Siemens Gamesa's stringent requirements.
- Investigate and rectify quality discrepancies, employing problem-solving methodologies.
- Initiate strategies to enhance supplier capabilities and overall quality performance.
- Act as a representative in interdisciplinary and cross-functional workgroups.
- Facilitate cross-regional knowledge sharing to promote best practices.
Qualifications:
We seek individuals who are passionate about renewable energy and understand the significance of leading transformative change. Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent professional background.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality within an international context.
- Experience with electrical industrial components, including generators and motors.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes related to segments and generators.
- Experience in product and process auditing, with a preference for candidates knowledgeable in PPAP, Measurement System Analysis, and FMEA.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar standards, with Lead Auditor certification being advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, along with IT skills including SAP and MS Office applications.
