About the Role
As a Financial Operations Controller at Puig, your primary objective will be to deliver accurate and pertinent financial and operational insights to facilitate informed decision-making. You will work closely with both Regional and Local Controllers while reporting directly to the HQ Controller. Your key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities
Business Financial Oversight
- Conduct thorough P&L Analysis for Direct to Consumer (DTC) operations and establish key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Evaluate business cases for new store openings (Return on Investment).
- Monitor capital expenditures and store performance.
Financial Analysis & Month-End Closing Review
- Validate consolidated monthly financial results.
- Execute comprehensive monthly performance analysis across various dimensions (Full Fragrances P&L lines; segmented by Market, Brand, Channel, and Category).
- Analyze Gross Margin and challenge regional/local controllers on discrepancies.
- Perform scenario analysis considering fluctuations in exchange rates.
- Continuously assess risks and opportunities.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across different systems.
- Oversee the monthly closing process to ensure timely completion.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Economics, preferably with a focus on finance. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Direct to Consumer financial analysis is essential. Strong communication skills, personal organization, attention to detail, and a methodical approach are crucial for success in this role. Experience in presenting financial information to management is also required.
