Capital Energy is seeking a highly experienced Commercial Director to lead our Green Hydrogen business. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, and establishing Capital Energy as a market leader in the green hydrogen industry.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with Capital Energy's mission and vision, with a focus on market penetration, revenue generation, and profitability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and mitigate risks.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations to expand our presence and market reach.
- Lead the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and managing customer relationships.
- Develop and oversee marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and drive demand for our green hydrogen products and services.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the commercial department. Ensure cost-effective operations and resource allocation.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the commercial team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies related to the green hydrogen industry.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in senior commercial roles within the Chemistry or Hydrogen sector, having performed with methanol, ammonia and/or hydrogen products.
- Logistics-oriented background in the sector (e.g. Bunkering).
- Experience working, negotiating and generating business opportunities in Central Europe culture. Having worked for a German firm is preferred.
- Strong network and relationships within the industry.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and functions.
