About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our team at LORIOT. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing our global system infrastructure and ensuring the availability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. System Availability: Take on responsibility for the availability of LORIOT systems and ensure that they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  2. Infrastructure Management: Manage our global IIoT infrastructure within our clients' on-premise instances, ensuring that it is properly configured and maintained.
  3. Reporting and Communication: Professionally report to management and communicate effectively with the team to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of system status and any issues that may arise.
  4. Process Improvement: Continuously improve our monitoring system, operational processes, and infrastructure to ensure that they are aligned with industry best practices.
  5. Documentation and Support: Participate in improving detailed technical and functional documentation, and participate in level 2 support coordination to ensure that our systems are properly supported.
Requirements
  1. Engineering Background: Holder of (at least) a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or have an equivalent (2+ years), demonstrable, relevant work experience.
  2. Technical Skills: Solid bases on network protocols (OSI model, RSA, VPN configuration), Linux deep knowledge (console, troubleshooting), experience managing databases such as MongoDB, Redis, Postgresql, Elasticsearch, and script development languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript).
  3. Cloud Architecture: Cloud architecture mindset, experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), automation, and orchestration tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible), and experience in version control systems (GIT, GitHub, Bitbucket).
  4. Soft Skills: Spirited, energetic, easy-going person, highly motivated continuous learner, interested in Internet of Things, gadgets, and technology in general, and fluent in English, any other languages are an asset and can be put to good use.
