This role sits at the operational heart of our business, connecting our global production capabilities with our European expansion.You won’t just be managing spreadsheets; you will be building our supply chain ecosystem from the ground up. You will act as the technical voice for our Sheet Metal and CNC capabilities, ensuring that when a customer sends a complex drawing, we have the right partners, the right processes, and the right quality standards to deliver it perfectly.Your Key Responsibilities1. Supply Chain EcosystemBuild the Network: Identify, onboard, and audit manufacturing partners outside of China (UK, EU, India), specifically focusing on high‑quality Sheet Metal and CNC fabrication.Partnership, Not Just Procurement: Move beyond transactional management. Establish performance KPIs (OTIF, Quality Rates) but drive them through relationships and continuous improvement, not just policing.Strategic Sourcing: Analyse cost and capacity data to build a resilient supply chain that can scale with our rapid European growth.2. Technical Engineering SupportThe Sheet Metal Expert: Act as the internal authority for sheet metal pre‑sales. You will review CAD files and drawings to assess feasibility, ensuring we only promise what we can deliver.DFM with Empathy: Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback that helps the sales team and the customer understand how to optimise their parts for cost and quality.Problem Solver: Investigate quality issues (NCRs) not just to fix the error, but to understand the root cause—liaising between European clients and Global factories to close the gap.3. Operational ArchitectureProcess Design: We are growing fast. You will design and document the workflows for vendor onboarding, quality control, and quoting—turning ad‑hoc tasks into scalable processes.Internal Capability: Work with our Operations Director and China HQ to support the build‑out of our own internal production facilities, ensuring European standards are baked into our global factories.Project Delivery: manage the rollout of new operational programs, keeping Europe and China aligned on timelines and deliverables.RequirementsThe Hybrid Skillset: You are rare—you understand Supply Chain logistics and you can read a technical engineering drawing.Experience: 3–7 years in manufacturing operations, applications engineering, or supply chain management.Technical Core: Strong working knowledge of Sheet Metal fabrication and CNC processes is essential. You must be comfortable interpreting BoMs, tolerances, and material grades.The Mindset: A builder who loves structure. You are comfortable working in a multi‑time‑zone environment where you often have to create the process before you execute it.The Communicator: You can explain complex engineering constraints to a salesperson, and commercial targets to an engineer.BenefitsBuild It Your Way: This is a "blank canvas" role.
