Release Train Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Agile Project Manager to drive our Agile transformation. The Agile Project Manager is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART), responsible for managing projects, facilitating ART events and processes, driving continuous improvement, ensuring the successful delivery of value for all IT-related projects and initiatives. As a seasoned Agile practitioner, you will combine a deep understanding of Agile methodologies with a passion for fostering collaboration, innovation, and bringing products and services to life. Por favor, asegúrese de consultar la descripción a continuación con atención.Location: Providencia, Guadalajara, MexicoLanguage: Bilingual (English & Spanish)Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work and currently residing in Mexico.ResponsibilitiesProject Management (or we could call it Project Delivery)Lead implementation of key IT projectsDevelop and execute on complex project plansFacilitate ART events and processesPlan, coordinate, and facilitate PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, and Inspect & Adapt events.Ensure adherence to SAFe principles and practices throughout the ART.Manage backlog and prioritizationCollaborate with stakeholders to manage and prioritize the ART backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and value delivery.Manage risks, dependencies, and releasesIdentify, assess, and mitigate risks and dependencies across teams and ARTs.Escalate impediments to the appropriate levels and ensure timely resolution.Oversee the release management process, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of value to customers. This includes coordinating with teams to plan and execute releases, managing release schedules, and communicating release status to stakeholders.Drive continuous improvementAnalyze metrics and data to identify opportunities for improvement in the ART’s performance and effectiveness.Facilitate retrospectives and implement improvement actions.Communicate with stakeholdersProvide regular updates and reports on the ART’s progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.Ensure transparency and visibility into the ART’s work.Facilitate product demos to showcase the ART’s accomplishments and gather feedback.Foster collaboration and alignmentBuild relationships and foster collaboration between teams, stakeholders, and leadership.Ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.Value Delivery and Continuous ImprovementFacilitate the flow of value through ARTs, identifying and addressing impediments.Drive relentless improvement by leveraging Agile metrics and data-driven insights.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within ARTs.Coach and mentor teamsProvide guidance and support to Agile teams and stakeholders in adopting SAFe principles, practices, and mindsets.Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Process and Tool OptimizationContinuously evaluate and optimize Agile processes and tools to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance collaboration.Leverage Agile metrics and data-driven insights to identify trends, measure progress, and drive continuous improvement.Must-Have Requirements (No negociables)5+ years of hands-on experience in SAFe environments, operating at program / ART level (not only team-level Agile).Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE), owning at least one Agile Release Train (ART) end-to-end.Active SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification (SPC 6.0 strongly preferred).Extensive experience facilitating core SAFe events, including:PI PlanningInspect & AdaptScrum of ScrumsART SyncSystem DemosStrong background in enterprise IT environments, leading complex, multi-team, multi-stakeholder initiatives.Advanced English proficiency (bilingual English/Spanish), with the ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.Experience using Agile metrics and data to drive continuous improvement, transparency, and executive-level reporting.Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps for managing ART delivery, dependencies, and Agile metrics.Strongly Preferred QualificationsPrior experience leading or contributing to a Lean‑Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) or equivalent Agile governance body.Background as an Agile Coach, Enterprise Agile Coach, or Agile Transformation Lead in addition to RTE responsibilities.IT or technical background (engineering, systems, software development, or similar).Experience driving large‑scale Agile / Digital Transformation initiatives in highly regulated or complex industries (e.g., banking, healthcare, energy, telecom).Additional SAFe certifications (RTE, LPM, PO/PM, Scrum Master).Experience working with OKRs, flow metrics, and value‑stream optimization at program or portfolio level.Leadership & Soft Skills (Critical for Success)Servant leadership mindset, with a strong focus on coaching, mentoring, and team empowerment.Proven ability to build trust and strong relationships across teams, stakeholders, and leadership.Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse teams.Strong change management capabilities and a continuous improvement mindset.Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments while maintaining delivery focus.Why Join MezTalAt MezTal, we prioritize innovation, collaboration, and personal growth.
