Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Technology Manager to lead operations in our data center, ensuring availability and reliability for the AWS global infrastructure. Verifique que posee las habilidades necesarias antes de enviar una solicitud.Key ResponsibilitiesPrioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.Manage the performance of a diverse team(s) of data center operation professionals across different locations.Develop career paths for employees and update internal tools.Recruit and train data technicians to maintain appropriate staffing levels.Ensure effective day‑to‑day data center operations, including queue management, 24/7 shift arrangements, and hardware logistics.Act as subject‑matter expert across all aspects of data center operations.Measure and meet all operational KPIs and metrics.Inspire and guide process improvement, technology innovation, and automation.Lead large‑scale events such as outages as the call leader.Improve workflows and throughput for data center operations.Document and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.Maintain the on‑call schedule, coordinating absences and vacations.Continuously strive to improve customer experience and service quality.Basic QualificationsA Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional or military experience in an IT related field.2+ years of experience managing people in a technical environment.2+ years of experience participating in on‑call rotations and providing after‑hours support in a 24/7 environment, networking and computer hardware.Preferred QualificationsIn‑depth knowledge of Linux systems administration, networking and cabling best practices.In‑depth hardware architecture knowledge and troubleshooting experience, system management tools and client/server environments.Technical writing experience and prior project management experience.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
