We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our employees can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.What You’ll Do:Design and implement developer tools that surface Datadog observability data within VS Code and Cursor.Own a key piece of a high-visibility, user-facing product that directly impacts developer experience.Who You Are:Experienced in creating developer tools or IDE extensions.A rapid experimenter who can iterate quickly on product ideas.Passionate about AI-assisted development and improving developer workflows.Pragmatic and focused on simplicity, performance, and usability.Proficiency in multiple programming languages, ideallyTypescript+ (e.g., Python, Go, Rust).Bonus Points:Experience building VS Code extensions, Language Servers ( LSP ), or similar developer integrations.Comfortable working in distributed teams.Skilled at writing testable, maintainable code and ensuring smooth CI/CD integration.Datadog values people from all walks of life.
