Please do not contact the recruiter directly.Si desea conocer los requisitos para este puesto, siga leyendo para obtener toda la información relevante.Introduction to the vacant position:The Smart Nano-Bio-Devices Research Group is looking for a Laboratory Technician to support research activities in the synthesis and characterization of micro- and nanoparticles for the development of advanced nano-bio devices.Main tasks and responsibilities:Synthesis of micro- and nanoparticles (inorganic and organic) and support in the synthesis to group membersMaintenance of the analytical and characterization tools, being responsible for some equipment based on candidate's skills.Support on the sample preparation and characterization by microscopy techniques such as SEM and TEM.Lab organization, ordering to reagents and equipment in coordination with other technicians and the Group Leader.Introduction to the new members of the lab facilities and the lab rules. Managing the group's equipment reservation calendars. Train new users in the use of equipment and lab procedures.Responsible for the on-boarding and check-out of group members.Management of the group's lab spaces and computers.Contact person between the researchers and distributors, maintenance, security , secretary and other IBEC departments such as: IT, Core, Facilities, Health & Safety, Finances and Communications.Responsible for lab safety.Requirements for candidates:EssentialDegree and master's in chemistry; nanoscience and nanotechnology; nanomaterials and biomedical sciences.Knowledge in synthesis of nanoparticles inorganic or organic (e.g: polymeric-based nanoparticles, silica-based; metallic-based,etc) and characterization techniques (e.g: DLS, Z-potential, spectroscopy techniques, etc).Competences and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking; Problem solving skills and organizational skills in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.High level of English.Advantageous:Experience as a Lab Technician supporting group members in international labs.Experience in electronic microscopy (such as SEM , TEM)Experience in 3D Printing and Cell culture.Competencies and Skills:We value not only technical expertise but also the demonstration of core competencies such as Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, and Critical and Analytical Thinking.We Offer:Number of available positions: 1Starting date: As soon as possibleWorking conditions:Full time 1-yearcontract.Measures to reconcile work and family life (parental leave, flexible schedule working hours, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).IBEC ensures equality of access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC or other factors.
