In this role, you’ll shape a high‑performance, secure, and scalable platform that accelerates decision‑making in clinical development. You’ll collaborate across teams and regions, bring modern workflow orchestration to life, and enable scientists with the right tools to deliver impact at global scale—while growing your career in an inclusive, unbossed culture.About The RoleKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and evolve architecture for the Statistical Compute Environment aligned to enterprise standardsIntegrate scientific software and modeling tools for pharmacometrics and quantitative sciencesOptimize HPC workloads for scalability, extensibility, performance, and business valueEnsure solution designs trace to functional and non‑functional requirementsAdminister Unix/Linux systems and batch queue management in HPC environmentsManage workflow orchestration tools such as Snakemake, Nextflow, and CromwellOperate workload schedulers including SLURM and IBM Spectrum LSFMonitor HPC health and utilization using observability tools like GrafanaCollaborate with security to harden environments and ensure regulatory complianceLead multi‑cloud integrations and support continuous integration and deploymentEssential RequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information technologyExperience working in a regulated pharmaceutical information technology environmentProven architecture and design experience for high‑performance computing environmentsStrong proficiency with Unix and Linux administration and advanced scriptingHands‑on experience with scientific software and modeling tools used in pharmacometricsProficiency with workload schedulers such as SLURM and IBM Spectrum LSFExperience implementing workflow orchestration tools such as Nextflow, Cromwell, and SnakemakeDemonstrated experience with cloud architecture, containerization, and Elastic Kubernetes Services.Commitment To Diversity & InclusionWe are committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.Why Novartis:Helping people with disease and their families takes more than innovative science.
