This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-level database solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments, with a strong focus on performance tuning and high availability.Location: 100% Remote (Spain-based candidates only) Language: High level of English requiredQualifications & Experience- 7+ years in database engineering, administration, and performance tuning.- Strong expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures).- Proficiency in SSRS and SSIS.- Advanced skills in query optimization and execution plan analysis.- Experience with high-availability setups: Always On, clustering, replication, log shipping.- Solid understanding of database security, auditing, and compliance.- Knowledge of Python and/or PowerShell scripting- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance.Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and manage high-performance Oracle and SQL Server databases.- Optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures for performance and scalability.- Administer Azure SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance, ensuring security and availability.- Develop and maintain SSRS reports and SSIS ETL packages.- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, replication failures, and security vulnerabilities.- Collaborate with development and operations teams on database optimization and structure.- Manage backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies (Always On, clustering, etc.).- Ensure compliance with database security best practices and industry standards.- Lead database migrations, upgrades, and cloud adoption initiatives.Preferred Skills- Experience with cloud-native database solutions and automation.- Familiarity with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD for database deployments.- Understanding of NoSQL databases and hybrid cloud environments.-Preferred certifications:- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate- Oracle Database Administrator Certified ProfessionalWork schedule- 8-17 Monday/FridayWhat can we offer? 23 days of Annual Leave plus the 24th and 31st of December as discretionary days Numerous benefits (Health Care Plan, teleworking compensation, Life and Accident Insurances).`Retribución Flexible´ Program: (Meals, Kinder Garden, Transport, online English lessons, Health Care Plan…)Free access to several training platformsProfessional stability and career plansUST also, compensates referrals from which you could benefit when you refer professionals.The option to pick between 12 or 14 payments along the year.Real Work Life Balance measures (flexibility, WFH or remote work policy, compacted hours during summertime…)UST Club Platform discounts and gym Access discountsIf you would like to know more, don’t hesitate to apply and we’ll get in touch to fill you in detail.
