Learn more about our journey and mission on our About Us pageAbout The RoleDue to continuous growth, our People & Culture Team is excited to welcome a motivated Payroll & HR Compliance Specialist to ensure full compliance with labor regulations and internal policies while managing payroll processes with precision and confidentiality. As a Payroll & HR Compliance Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring legal, ethical, and procedural integrity across our HR operations. Working closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors, you will manage payroll, maintain compliance frameworks, and contribute to a positive and transparent employee experience.YOUR MISSIONPayroll Management & Fiscal ObligationsEmployee RelationsTraining & GrantsResponsibilitiesEquality, Diversity & Regulatory Compliance – implement and monitor measures established in the Equality Plan.Prepare and maintain the Pay Equity Register and ensure periodic updates.Review and track compliance with the Sexual Harassment Prevention Protocol.Launch and monitor the LGTBI Plan and Protocol, including coordination of relevant training sessions.Update the Collective Bargaining Agreement and internal regulations to align with current labor laws and compliance principles.Oversee compliance with the Spanish General Disability Law (LGD).Coordinate with external legal advisors on matters related to immigration and expatriation.Regularly review legal updates relevant to labor law and ensure internal compliance.Manage the end‑to‑end payroll process, including data collection, monthly updates, income tax calculations, and payment validation.Prepare the monthly accounting entries for payroll and coordinate with the Accounting team to address inquiries.Provide documentation for annual audits (financial and non‑financial).Submit and verify Social Security contributions via SILTRA.Prepare and reconcile tax models (111, 216, and 190) and collaborate with the Finance team.Generate regular reports for Management and Finance, coordinating with the Data team to automate these reports.Support employees with queries related to payroll, deductions, and benefits.Manage the termination process from start to finish, including drafting letters, calculating severance and settlements, managing access deactivation, and coordinating with CEMAC.Provide support during onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration experience.Manage FUNDAE training credits and ensure proper tracking of subsidies.Collaborate on documentation and reporting for R&D project grants, in coordination with external consultants.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, Law, or a related field.5–7 years of experience in payroll management and compliance.Advanced knowledge of Spanish labor and tax legislation, including collective bargaining agreements.Proven experience implementing Equality Plans and preparing Pay Registers.Advanced Excel user; experience with Sage payroll software is a plus.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish.BenefitsGrowth and career development – flexible career path with personalized internal training and an annual budget for external learning opportunities.Work‑Life balance – flexible schedule with flextime (7‑9:30 a.m. start, 3:30‑6 p.m. end) and option to work full remote or from our Barcelona office; free Friday afternoons with a 7‑hour workday and a 35‑hour workweek in July and August.Comprehensive benefits – competitive salary, full‑time permanent contract, top‑tier private health insurance (including dental and psychological services); 25 days of vacation plus your birthday off, with flexible vacation options—no blackout days.Unique perks – in‑office perks such as free coffee, fresh fruit, snacks, a game room, and a rooftop terrace with stunning Mediterranean views; additional benefits include ticket restaurant and nursery vouchers paid directly from your gross salary.Equal Employment OpportunityLeadtech is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Employer, which means we encourage applications from people with different backgrounds, interests, and personal circumstances.
