You’ll work with global leaders like Visa and Mastercard, as well as next generation “pay later” solutions such as Klarna and Afterpay. Our engineering teams apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and microservices architecture to build scalable and maintainable systems. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MultiSafepay's data infrastructure. Your primary focus will be ensuring that high-quality, scalable, and well-structured data is available to various teams within the organization. You will play a crucial role in optimizing data processes, managing databases, and setting up efficient data pipelines for seamless data accessibility. What will you be doing? Maintaining, and optimising databases, data warehouses, and ElasticSearch indexes Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and storing data Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards Automating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes Working closely with data analysts, ensuring they have well-structured and accurate data for reporting Monitoring database performance, resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies What do you need? Proven experience in data engineering or related fields Strong knowledge of ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL Postgres DBA (including logical and binary replication) Managing Elasticsearch clusters Kibana dashboards Data backup and recovery Data mining Knowledge in backend development in Java or Perl 5 (troubleshooting, optimization, integration, automation) and Apache POI for handling structured data (optional but beneficial) Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data performance Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills What you’ll get from us: A competitive salary package Opportunities for professional growth A diverse role within a dedicated international team of enthusiastic colleagues Office with an amazing view the beach Health insurance Free Spanish classes and afterwork sports activities We are not accepting applications or referrals from recruitment agencies for this position. xsgfvud Any unsolicited resumes will not be considered.
