MN8 is headquartered in New York with offices in Delray Beach, Florida, Boca Raton, Florida, and Madrid.ABOUT THE POSITION:We seek an ambitious Accounting Operations Manager to oversee a team of two/three accountants while managing daily accounting operations and supporting departmental initiatives. You will be part of an international team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the group’s accounting data, systems, and processes.Execution of accounting closing tasks and preparing financial statements for the assigned renewable energy portfolios within the MN8 Group, under American accounting policies (US GAAP) and SOX control environment, are a large part of the accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long-term success.This role will report to a senior accounting manager and will manage a team of two/three accountants.As the Accounting Operations Manager, you will:Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end/year-end close processes.Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing for each project.Review and prepare quarterly and annual Unaudited/Audited Financial Statements.Implement and improve accounting processes, ensuring scalability and accuracy.Supervise, mentor, and evaluate team performance, ensuring professional growth and engagementInterface with other departments including Asset Management, Tax, FP&A or Financial ReportingMaintain strong internal controls and support audit requirements (internal and external).Prepare and review Actual vs. Budget variance reports during month-end activities.Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded for projects and assigned companies.Our ideal candidate will have:English advanced level.Solid understanding of US GAAP and the implications over financial processes.Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.Understanding of SOX principles and compliance processes.At least 3 years of proven working experience leading accounting teams/Accountants.Experience in the renewable energy field is a plus but not required.Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards laws and regulations.Strong ability to deliver results within strict timeframes.High attention to detail.Problem solving capacity.Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.Bachelor or Graduate degree in business administration, economy, accounting, or a related field. xsgfvud MN8 Energy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and fully subscribes to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity to ensure that all applicants and employees are considered for hire, promotion, and job status without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, marital or familial status.
