This is a highly senior, hands-on leadership role where you will define platform standards, drive architectural decisions, and guide teams in building reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure.You will act as a technical reference for platform engineering practices, working closely with engineering, data, and product teams to ensure the platform enables fast, safe, and efficient delivery across the organization.Key Responsibilities- Take end-to-end ownership of the platform architecture and its evolution on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).- Lead the design, implementation, and operation of shared platform services supporting multiple engineering teams.- Define and enforce platform standards, best practices, and guardrails.- Drive automation initiatives using Python to improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience.- Design and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform as the single source of truth.- Lead the design and operation of container platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.- Own and evolve CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps (ADO).- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform and cloud engineers.- Partner with stakeholders to translate business and product requirements into platform capabilities.- Ensure platform observability, stability, and performance through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for platform-related issues.- Drive continuous improvement by staying up to date with platform engineering and cloud-native best practices.Required Skills and Experience- Extensive hands-on experience with Python for platform automation and tooling.- Proven experience leading CI/CD strategies using GitHub Actions.- Strong expertise in Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure at scale.- Solid experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Vertex AI.- Strong practical knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.- Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) in complex engineering environments.- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and influence engineering teams.- Strong architectural thinking and decision-making skills.- Excellent problem-solving capabilities in complex, distributed systems.- Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.- Experience working in agile and DevOps-driven environments.- Ability to communicate fluently in English.Preferred Qualifications- Experience acting as a technical lead or platform owner in complex environments.- Background in building internal platforms used by multiple teams. xsgfvud - Experience supporting data and AI workloads in production environments.
