As aBreeder Eggplant , based in Spain, you will be part of our Eggplant breeding team developing varieties for the open field market segment. Your responsibilities include:Working on new varieties, plant concepts, and disease resistances in close contact with the market and sales team.Conducting breeding tasks such as phenotyping, evaluation, and administration of trials on-site and abroad.Participating in international travel to judge variety trials.Setting up variety trials with stakeholders like customers or research institutes.Engaging in strategic discussions about the breeding program.Candidate ProfileYou are a team player who is proactive, creative, flexible, and solution-oriented. You take initiative, pay attention to detail, and work in a structured manner. Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills are essential. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Spanish is also necessary.
