Desplácese hacia abajo y haga clic en "Solicitar" para ser considerado para esta posición.Introduction to the vacant position:The Molecular and Cellular Neurobiotechnology Group is looking for a research Assistant to assist in the design, execution, and analysis of a project on the research on neurodegenerative diseases.Main tasks and responsibilities:Developing and characterizing human and mouse-derived models of brain pathologies , bothin vitroandin vivo , and using 2D and 3D culture systems, to uncover disease mechanisms and gain new insights into pathophysiology.Designing and applying advanced bioengineering tools , such as lab-on-a-chip and microfluidic devices, to study neuronal networks and model disease progression.Exploring molecular mechanisms involved in brain pathologiesusing basic molecular biology approaches to understand neurodegenerative processes better.Implementing cutting-edge assays(quantitative and qualitative) to monitor gene expression, neuronal activity, and metabolic changes during disease modeling and therapeutic testing.Requirements for candidates:Essential:BSc and MSc in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical engineering, or Biomedicine.Experience in basic molecular biology and laboratory techniques (e.g., qPCR, immunofluorescence, among others).Experience in general cell culture techniques.Previous experience in neurobiology studies (BSc or MSc level) involving histology or research using mouse models (behavioral studies, etc.).Knowledge of image analysis using ImageJ or similar software.Good working knowledge of English.Competencies and Skills:We value not only technical expertise but also the demonstration of core competencies such as Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, and Critical and Analytical Thinking.We Offer:Number of available positions: 1Starting date: November 1stWorking conditions:Full time 6-monthscontract.Measures to reconcile work and family life (parental leave, flexible schedule working hours, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).IBEC ensures equality of access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC or other factors.
