The business supports thousands of customers globally and is investing heavily in reliability, platform maturity and engineering quality as it continues to grow.This is atrue senior SRE rolefor someone who has been through scaling systems and teams, and is ready to lead reliability initiatives that span services, squads and stakeholders.The roleYou will operate at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure and reliability engineering. This role goes beyond execution and delivery. You will be expected todesign, plan and lead initiatives , shaping how reliability, observability and incident management are implemented across the organisation.You will partner closely with engineering teams, influence architectural decisions early, and help define how reliability is measured and improved as the platform scales.ResponsibilitiesDesign, plan and lead reliability initiatives across multiple teams and domainsInfluence architectural decisions early and shape system reliability and observabilityPartner with engineering teams to define reliability metrics, SLOs and SLIsLead or participate in incident response and post‑incident improvement effortsImprove production readiness, on‑call quality and reduce recurring failure patternsQualificationsLed initiatives across multiple teams or domains rather than working solely within one squadDesigned and evolved systems with clear reasoning around trade‑offs, failure modes and long‑term impactStrong communication skills and confidence presenting technical decisions in larger group settingsExperience in scale‑ups or mid‑sized tech environments where structure is evolving and ownership is highTechnical backgroundCloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, with solid networking and service level understandingContainers and orchestration such as Kubernetes, ECS or similarInfrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormationObservability and monitoring including metrics, logging and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog or CloudWatchCI CD and automation practices with a focus on reliability and safetySoftware engineering background with experience building and operating systems in languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby or similarReliability mindsetDefining and using SLOs xsgfvud and SLIs to make reliability measurableUsing error budgets to guide engineering prioritiesLeading or participating in incident response and post‑incident improvementImproving production readiness, on‑call quality and reducing recurring failure patternsWhy this role stands outHigh impact senior role with real ownership and influenceOpportunity to shape reliability practices in a growing engineering organisationStrong engineering culture with an emphasis on autonomy and trustCompetitive salary, equity and a flexible hybrid working modelSeniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionEngineering, Design, and Information TechnologyIndustriesTechnology, Information and Media, IT System Custom Software Development, and Travel Arrangements#J-18808-Ljbffr
