You’ll be a hands‑on leader who enjoys coaching engineers, creating an inclusive and high‑trust team environment, and helping people do their best work. While your focus will be on people leadership, you’ll stay close to technology partnering with your team on technical decisions, delivery, and continuous improvement in an agile setting.Working closely with Product, UX, and other Engineering leaders, you’ll help translate customer needs into high‑quality, scalable solutions, while reinforcing Clarivate values through accountability, collaboration, and a strong sense of ownership.If you’re passionate about developing people, building effective teams, and delivering software that truly makes an impact in life sciences, we’d love to hear from you.About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and AccomplishmentsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent relevant work experience.7+ years of industry experience in Software Engineering.Strong people‑management skills, with experience coaching engineers, supporting career growth, and leading teams in agile, cross‑functional environments while staying hands‑on with technical decisions.Java, Angular, AWS, SQL, Elasticsearch and Node.js.It would be great if you also have:Experience with enterprise or regulated SaaS products, ideally in life sciences or similar domains.Exposure to cloud‑native architectures and large‑scale front‑end platforms.A Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.What will you be doing in this role?Lead and develop a team of software engineers, setting clear goals, supporting career growth, and providing regular feedback and guidance.Stay hands‑on by contributing to technical direction, reviewing solutions, and supporting high‑quality delivery of customer‑focused features.Partner closely with Product, Design, and cross‑functional teams to shape solutions, plan road‑maps, and deliver against business objectives.Drive execution by estimating work, planning quarterly delivery, and ensuring timely, reliable outcomes.Foster collaboration across engineering, DevOps, data, and other teams, while continuously improving engineering practices and ways of working.About The TeamOur Barcelona‑based development team brings together talented Software and QA Engineers, working in close collaboration with a Solution Analyst, UX Designer, and Product Owner.
