The contract will be within the framework of the main research line of the laboratory, aiming to both understand and engineer the phenomenon of mechanotransduction in different pathophysiological contexts.Main tasks and responsibilities:Developing and implementing assays to control and manipulate the viscoelastic properties of cell substrates, and understanding cell responses.Carrying out an experimental and computational program to unveil the corresponding mechanisms of mechanotransduction.Actively contributing to lab research and collaborations.Requirements for candidates:Essential:Ph.D: on any field related to biomedicineExperience and knowledge in the field of mechanobiology and related topics.Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.High level of EnglishAdvantageous:Experience in Atomic Force Microscopy.We Offer:Number of available positions: 1Starting date: 01/04/2024Working conditions:Full time, Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration.Very competitive salary.Measures to reconcile work and family life (parental leave, flexible schedule working hours, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).IBEC ensures equality of access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC or other factors.
