The contract will be within the framework of the MORFEO project (Muscle-on-a-chip approach to reproduce fibrotic processes in engineered 3D co-culture organoids for Muscular Dystrophy): whose main objective is the development of Muscle-on-chip devices to model DMD and Col6-related myopathies.Main tasks and responsibilities:Develop and characterize 3D tissue co-cultures of skeletal muscle tissues from patient-derived cells.Design and fabricate microfluidic devices.Integrate the platform to drug testing assays.Requirements for candidates:Essential:Degree on any field on Biomedical Engineering or similar.Experience on cell culture and Molecular Biology.Experience on microfabrication techniques, will be a plus.Experience on microphysiological systems and tissue engineering will be a plus.Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.High level of English.Advantageous:Experience in skeletal muscle research.Experience in muscular dystrophy research.Experience in 3D design and printing.We Offer:Number of available positions: 1Starting date: September 16th 2024Working conditions:Full-time 2 years employment contract.
