The contract will be within the framework of two different research projects, whose objectives are the development of hydrogel-based three-dimensionalin vitromodels, using visible-light 3D bioprinting. By combining different cell culture and manufacturing techniques, the main goal is to advance towards more robust and scalable predictive models, for testing and evaluating new formulations for the treatment of IBDs.Main tasks and responsibilities:To optimize the composition of the hydrogel-based scaffolds to sustain cell culture and to recreatein vivo -like structuresTo evaluate the impact of the printing parameters and determine the optimal conditions for each designTo determine the most suitable flow conditionsin silicoaccording to the geometry of the modelTo design and fabricate the different components of the microfluidic chip using 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniquesTo stablish protocols for the optimal cell culture conditionsTo perform differentin vitroassays to evaluate the stability and feasibility of the system, and assess the quality of the model obtained ( egthe expression of different cellular markers using PCR, ELISA, WB, IF, etc.)Requirements for candidates:Essential:PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalentMultidisciplinary qualifications (Physics/Math's, Physics/Engineering, etc.) and/or knowledge on Material Science (specifically on fabrication and characterization techniques involving soft polymers matrices).Previous experience on 3D printing and 3D bioprinting.
