About the Role We are looking for a Staff Mobile Engineer to join our Mobile Team , responsible for building next-generation mobile applications for premium brands. In this role, you will act as a technical leader —guiding engineering decisions, driving execution for key product areas, and collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering partners. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with strong technical leadership expectations. While it does not include direct people management, you will mentor teammates, influence engineering best practices, and help shape the team’s technical roadmap. Sounds awesome, right? Now, let’s make sure you’re a good fit for the role: Must-have Skills: Lead technical planning and execution of mobile features and projects, delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Serve as a technical point of contact for the team by facilitating discussions, unblocking engineers, and providing architectural guidance. Uphold and evolve best practices around code quality, testing, performance, and mobile architecture. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing. Collaborate closely with product and design partners to refine scope, estimate work, and align on priorities and timelines. Contribute hands-on across mobile platforms by implementing features, fixing bugs, and improving app performance and reliability. Key Qualifications 9+ years of professional iOS native mobile development experience . Proven experience acting as a technical lead on mobile engineering projects, driving architecture, planning, and execution. Strong background in native mobile development , including: Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose iOS: Swift, SwiftUI Solid understanding of data structures, system design concepts, design patterns, API design, and mobile architectures (e.g., MVP, MVVM, declarative UI). Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices for mobile applications. Ability to make and communicate technical decisions clearly, align engineering work with business goals, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. Passion for mobile innovation and delivering high-quality user experiences. Nice to have Exposure to full-stack or backend technologies. xsgfvud Experience with cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, or similar platforms. Interest or experience in news, media, or journalism-related products .
