Join us and be part of our exciting journeyAs a Software Engineer...You will go beyond traditional coding tasks to build automation systems that directly transform how Barkibu scales customer service. While your technical foundation is essential, success in this role depends on your ability to combine engineering with analytical insight and product sense. You will often start with a loosely defined challenge, frame it into clear problems, and deliver end-to-end solutions that integrate seamlessly into our customer experience.In this position, you will act as both a builder and a problem solver:- Builder: designing and implementing automation pipelines, integrating AI assistants with backend systems, and ensuring that bots can execute actions safely and reliably.- Problem Solver: analyzing customer data, detecting friction points, and designing scalable solutions that balance efficiency with service quality.Your work will directly impact the scalability of our operations, ensuring Barkibu can serve more customers without compromising experience. Over time, you’ll be expected to own critical automation initiatives, proactively explore new AI tools, and shape the roadmap of customer service automation.This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys autonomy, thrives on curiosity, and sees engineering not just as writing code, but as crafting systems that solve real problems at scale.You're the perfect fit if...- You've got previous experience working on complex challenges like this one.- You are fluent in English. Spanish is a plus.- You have a product mindset.
