Full‑time, Mid‑Senior level.The RoleWe are seeking a Senior System Administrator with extensive experience in data‑center solutions focusing on virtualization, storage, and Linux environments. The role involves implementing and maintaining Linux, VMware, and NetApp infrastructure, providing technical leadership for research and development projects, and ensuring project objectives, milestones, and deliverables are met.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and manage RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments.Administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel‑level tuning.Implement system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control.Monitor performance, handle incident response, and ensure uptime and data integrity.Automate tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools.Maintain backup and recovery solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.Maintain accurate and comprehensive configuration documentation.Qualifications10+ years of experience in system administration.Expertise with command‑line tools, system configuration, and server administration (Red Hat Linux Enterprise).Experience managing virtualization (VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter), NetApp storage, and Dell VxBlock.Strong knowledge of IDM, Red Hat Satellite, and disaster‑recovery planning.Proficiency with Ansible for OS installation and middleware deployment.Experience with GPFS/IBM Spectrum Scale and data migration using rsync.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation of technical processes.Background in programming and strong problem‑solving skills.Self‑starter with minimal supervision required.Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or other vendor certifications are valuable.Located in or near Rome, Italy, or Barcelona, Spain.Soft SkillsFocus on team outcomes and collaborative communication.Team player who embraces cross‑team collaboration.Can‑do attitude, self‑motivated and self‑starter.What We OfferInnovative, growing team with hybrid work and flexible schedule.Competitive remuneration reflecting experience.Opportunities for career growth and professional development.Valued environment that respects race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity. xsgfvud Seniority LevelMid‑SeniorEmployment TypeFull TimeJob FunctionInformation Technology – Software DevelopmentWe encourage diverse applicants and are an equal‑opportunity employer.
