A global SaaS company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who wants to be at the forefront of how modern engineering teams build software. This role will suit someone with strong backend experience in Go or Node or Rust, who is curious about the future of AI in engineering and wants to work on the internal tools that will define it.
You will join a team focused on improving the way more than one hundred engineers develop, test and ship software. This involves designing and building internal services in Go or Node or Rust, improving automation across the engineering toolchain, and helping evolve an AI-augmented development environment used across the organisation.
The role is hands on and highly visible. You will maintain and extend a suite of internal tooling, explore and evaluate new models and AI capabilities, and help integrate them into developer workflows such as code generation, testing, review and CI/CD. You will participate in experiments to measure productivity gains, improve engineering metrics and ensure stable, high-quality delivery. You will collaborate closely with engineering leaders and teams in multiple locations, becoming a technical reference point for AI-enhanced software development within the company.
This is not a research role. You do not need deep prior AI experience to apply. What matters most is strong backend engineering ability, an interest in AI-driven developer tooling, and a desire to stay on top of emerging technologies. If you are excited about AI's capabilities, enjoy exploring new tools, shaping internal platforms and working in an environment where you can influence how engineering operates, this role offers significant impact and growth.
Requirements
- Several years of software engineering experience in Go or strong Node or Rust
- Good understanding of backend systems, CI/CD, automation, testing and cloud environments
- Interest in AI or LLM powered developer tooling and willingness to learn rapidly
- Ability to work closely with engineers across teams and communicate technical ideas clearly
- A pragmatic approach to building, improving and automating internal systems
This is a hybrid onsite position based in Alicante.
