About the role:
We are looking for a Junior Footwear Designer with strong execution skills and design sensitivity to join our product team in Alicante. This is a highly operational design role for someone who understands that great design is not only about ideas — it is about bringing product to life with precision, speed, and consistency.
We will work closely with the Design team and cross‑functional partners to ensure collections are developed correctly from concept to production, supporting a brand that places product at the center of its strategy.
This is not a remote position — presence in the studio is essential to collaborate, review materials, refine details, and stay close to the development process.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Design Support
- Develop footwear proposals aligned with the creative direction and inputs from the G2 Design team.
- Translate concepts into executable designs with strong attention to proportion, materials, and color.
- Contribute to seasonal collections, capsules, and special projects.
Technical Execution
- Create detailed technical sheets (fichas técnicas) with accuracy and clarity for factories.
- Ensure all specifications are production‑ready.
- Track revisions and maintain updated documentation throughout development.
Development Coordination
- Act as a connector between design, development, and manufacturing.
- Follow up with factories and suppliers to guarantee correct execution of samples.
- Identify risks early (construction issues, material inconsistencies, cost deviations).
Sample Management
- Review prototypes and salesman samples with a critical eye.
- Propose improvements to construction, finishes, comfort, and aesthetics.
- Ensure the final product reflects the intended design quality.
Material & Trend Awareness
- Stay informed on materials, constructions, and emerging design movements.
- Support research for seasonal inspiration and product evolution.
Team Collaboration
- Work daily with design, product, and sourcing teams.
- Bring a proactive attitude — anticipate needs rather than waiting for direction.
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years in footwear design or product development.
- Experience working with factories and technical documentation is strongly preferred.
- Strong command of Illustrator and design tools.
- Ability to build precise tech packs.
- Understanding of footwear construction and materials.
