Role Mission
We are looking for a Card Issuance Implementation Specialist (issuer side) to lead end-to-end testing and certification initiatives. You will take part in key credit/debit card projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, technical quality, and proper integration with networks and issuer systems.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute functional, integration, and certification testing in card issuance projects.
- Validate ISO 8583 messaging, reconciliations, and settlement files with networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Redsys).
- Verify monthly customer settlement processes and unpaid/debt flows.
- Coordinate implementations with vendors and internal teams (business, IT, operations).
- Ensure proper onboarding and certification with networks and schemes (Visa/Mastercard).
- Collaborate with card personalization/embossing providers (e.g., IDEMIA, G+D) and validate data and formats.
- Analyze logs and technical evidence; work with development teams (ability to read Java is desirable).
- Produce documentation (test cases, evidence, certification reports) and best practices.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven experience in card issuance implementations (issuer side).
- Knowledge of Visa/Mastercard, Redsys, ISO 8583, settlement files, and reconciliations.
- Experience in testing/certification within the payments environment (end-to-end).
- Technical ability to read logs and understand traces; basic Java knowledge (this is not a development role).
- Spanish C1 and English B2 (minimum).
- Residence in Spain, with availability for 1 day/week in the office if living in Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, or Logroño.
Nice to Have
- Participation in card issuing system implementations such as Pampa, Partenón, TSYS, Fiserv (EMEA), or others.
- Knowledge of personalization/embossing processes, keys, and associated security.
- Experience in test automation and messaging validation tools.
- Familiarity with regulations and compliance applicable to issuers.
