Job Description

Join our innovative team, a dynamic startup at the forefront of the defense drone industry. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Senior C++ Qt/QML Developer to help evolve the systems that enable real-time drone operations and mission planning.

You will design and extend mission-critical user interfaces that support manual flight, multi-drone coordination, live video streaming, and AI-powered insights. Your work will directly shape how drone operators interact with our Ground Control Station and manage complex missions in fast-paced environments.

Location: Valencia, Spain (Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities

- Integrate C++ backend logic and QML frontend for our Ground Control interface

- Ensure robustness, reliability and responsiveness of the UI

- Extend existing mission planner and manual flight UIs with new features

- Collaborate with Flight Engineers, pilots and IA team to refine UI and workflows

Requirements

- Proven experience with Qt/QML framework

- Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++14 and later)

- Comfortable working and debugging apps in WSL or Ubuntu

- Comfortable working with and improving external Open-Source libraries

Nice to have

- Experience with UAV communication protocols (MAVLink), ground control stations (like QGroundControl) or custom-built tools

- Familiarity with video streaming (RTSP, GStreamer)

- Experience interfacing with external devices and developing touch interfaces
