Senior SQL Developer

- Understands complex data structures, identifies relationships between data sources, and proactively proposes structural improvements to enhance data processing and reporting.
- Requirements Translation

- Translates detailed business requirements into technical SQL solutions, ensuring accurate alignment between requested outcomes and implemented database logic.

- SQL Development

- Designs, develops, and optimizes SQL objects such as stored procedures, views, functions, and ETL workflows to support large-scale reporting and analytics processes.

- Data Integration

- Integrates data from multiple internal and external sources, including user inputs, ensuring consistency, reliability, and proper transformation across the full data flow.

- Data Aggregation and Processing

- Builds and maintains complex data aggregation processes, ensuring that KPIs and analytical outputs are calculated accurately and efficiently.

- Performance Optimization

- Conducts performance tuning of SQL queries, indexing strategies, and data models to improve system responsiveness and reduce processing time

- Collaboration with AI Modelling Teams

- Works closely with AI and modelling teams to support data preparation, input formatting, and delivery of well-structured datasets for predictive and analytical models.

- Coordination with Dashboard Developers

- Collaborates with dashboard development teams to ensure data availability, correctness, and readiness for front-end visualization.

- Cross-Functional Communication

- Interacts with business leadership, technical teams, and operational stakeholders to align expectations, clarify requirements, and ensure transparency in development progress.

- Quality Assurance and Validation

- Performs thorough validation of developed SQL logic, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with quality standards throughout the lifecycle.

- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

- Prepares clear technical documentation for data models, transformation logic, and SQL processes, and shares knowledge with other team members when needed

- Operational Support

- Provides ongoing support for existing SQL processes, troubleshoots production issues, and ensures stable operation of all integrated data pipelines.

- Team Integration and Collaboration

- Actively participates in the SQL development team, contributing to joint problem solving, code reviews, and continuous improvement of development practices.

Requirements

- Database Development Experience

- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing database solutions within complex analytical or operational environments.

- Microsoft SQL Server Expertise

- Strong practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced query writing, performance tuning, indexing strategies, and database architecture.

- Extensive experience working with SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS, supporting data extraction, transformation, modeling, and reporting processes.
- Data Integration Skills

- Proven ability to design and maintain data integration workflows, ensuring stable and efficient movement of data across multiple systems and sources.

- Familiarity with Qlik Sense and Power BI, with the ability to support dashboard teams by providing accurate, well-structured datasets.
- Programming and Automation Knowledge

- Working knowledge of VBA or similar scripting approaches that support automation, data manipulation, or process optimization.

- Analytical and Problem-Solving Ability

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially within financial reporting, KPI calculation, or data validation contexts.

- Business Communication Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities, enabling clear translation of complex technical information into understandable business insights.

- Stakeholder Management Experience

- Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, gather requirements, manage expectations, and collaborate effectively across functions.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Proven experience working with business teams, analysts, and technical groups, supporting joint delivery of data solutions and analytical outputs.

- Independent and Team-Based Work

- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a development team, contributing to shared goals while managing individual responsibilities.

- Multitasking and Deadline Management

- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery of data processes, enhancements, and support activities.

- Finance and Accounting Support Experience

- Previous experience supporting financial or accounting teams, with an understanding of financial data structures, reporting cycles, and KPI logic.
