Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Tracking Specialist based in Spain . The role focuses on the technical implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of tracking and measurement systems across web and mobile applications.

The Tracking Specialist is responsible for designing and deploying client-side and server-side tracking architectures , ensuring accurate, scalable and compliant data collection. The role works closely with product, marketing and data teams to translate measurement requirements into robust technical implementations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and debugging tracking setups , developing and maintaining APIs and data collection endpoint s, managing tag management systems and continuously improving data quality, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in web and app tracking implementation , including event modeling and data layer design.

- Proven experience with server-side tracking setups , such as server-side Google Tag Manager or custom server-side collection architectures.

- Excellent JavaScript development skills , with a focus on clean, maintainable, and well-structured tracking code.

- Experience developing and integrating APIs for event collection , transformation, and delivery to analytics and marketing platforms.

- Hands-on experience with multiple Tag Management Systems (TMS) and complex tag, trigger, and variable configurations.

- Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics 4 , including event schemas, parameters, and validation workflows.

- Strong analytical and debugging skills to validate data accuracy and resolve tracking issues .

- Good command of SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing event-level data.

- Familiarity with BigQuery for working with large-scale analytics datasets.

- Experience implementing and configuring Consent Management Platforms (CMP) and ensuring tracking compliance.
