Spain Operations Lead – Greenfield Setup (Pest Control / Control de Plagas)

FEROKILL is an established European pest control group with strong operations in Belgium. We are now launching a new operation in Spain, starting from zero, with Madrid as the initial base.

This is a greenfield build. There is no existing branch, no local team and no customer base.

We are looking for one experienced, hands-on operator to build this operation step by step. This is not a partnership, not an equity role and not a director package from day one. It is a full-time operational build role with long-term growth potential for the right profile.

Role reality (read carefully)

This role starts with nothing in place locally.

You will be responsible for making the Spanish operation operational, compliant and commercially active.

You will be the first operational hire in Spain and will work in close coordination with the Belgian headquarters. Headquarters provides systems and support, but there is no local safety net: local execution stands or falls with you.

This role suits someone who prefers building first, stabilising second and scaling later.

What you will actually do in the first phase

• Set up the Spanish pest control operation from scratch, starting in Madrid

• Handle local regulatory, licensing and compliance requirements

• Recruit and onboard the first technician

• Find and secure a small office with limited storage

• Establish relationships with suppliers and service partners

• Personally acquire the first customers

• Work hands-on with the first technician in the field to implement Ferokill standards

• Handle day-to-day operations, planning and coordination

• Report structurally and transparently to Belgian headquarters

In the initial months, you will personally combine sales, operations and compliance.

This is a build role, not a supervisory one.

Only after sufficient traction is reached will additional hires be added.

What this role is not

• Not a corporate or desk-based management role

• Not a purely strategic position

• Not a director or country head role from day one

Compensation approach

This is a greenfield build role.

Compensation is structured to grow with traction and proven results.

• Market-aligned starting compensation for a build phase

• Clear step-ups as the operation becomes operational, stable and scalable

• Performance-based bonuses linked to concrete milestones (setup completion, first technician onboarded, first customers, operational stability)

• All setup costs, tools, systems and initial investments are fully covered by the company

This role is best suited for someone who values long-term build-up over immediate senior-level compensation.

What we expect from you

• Proven experience in pest control (control de plagas) or a comparable operational service business

• Strong understanding of Spanish regulatory and operational requirements

• A genuinely hands-on mentality

• Willingness to personally sell to and service the first customers

• Comfortable working without an existing team or structure

• Able to combine operational, commercial and coordination responsibilities

• Structured, reliable and stress-resistant

• Fluent in Spanish, with working knowledge of English

This role requires maturity, discipline and execution power.

You will have autonomy, but also clear accountability and measurable objectives.
