Computer Vision Engineer

Mission

We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer – Computer Vision & Robotics to join a world-class team tackling some of the most complex challenges in machine perception and autonomous systems. You will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced machine learning models, with a focus on perception and decision-making in robotics. From scene understanding and pose estimation to robotic grasping and segmentation, your work will directly power next-generation robotic platforms operating at global scale.

Responsibilities

ML System Architecture & Development

- Design and implement state-of-the-art deep learning and computer vision models for robotic vision, item understanding, detection, and tracking.
- Drive the development and deployment of scalable ML models, including generative, self-supervised, and transformer-based architectures.
- Work across edge inference, multi-view 3D vision, and low-latency perception pipelines for autonomous robotic systems.

Innovation & Research Integration

- Contribute to and publish scientific research in top-tier conferences (CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML, ICRA, IROS, etc.).
- Bridge cutting-edge academic insights with industrial-scale implementation, driving practical innovation across robotic platforms.
- Prototype new ideas in simulation and live robotic environments, integrating customer feedback into the iteration cycle.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

- Collaborate with software engineers, hardware teams, and operations leads to develop full-stack robotics solutions.
- Lead by example in technical reviews, architecture decisions, and system-wide performance validation.
- Mentor junior scientists and engineers, promoting excellence in model design, experimentation, and delivery.

Requirements

Education & Experience

- PhD in Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Vision, or a related field.
- Alternatively, Master's with 6+ years of applied experience in industrial or research environments.

Technical Skills & Expertise

- Extensive experience building and deploying ML/AI models in business-critical systems, ideally in robotics or perception.
- Deep understanding of neural networks, generative models, semi-supervised learning, and 3D vision.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, Java, and experience using deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, NumPy, pandas) and statistical methods for uncertainty modeling.
- Familiarity with edge ML deployment, real-time constraints, and robotic inference workflows is a plus.

Publications & Thought Leadership

- Demonstrated research impact through publications in top conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, JMLR, or PAMI.
- Experience contributing to LLMs, visual transformers, or foundational CV models is a strong plus.

Soft Skills & Delivery

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into product impact.
- Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, balancing exploration with delivery.
