Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong MEP construction experience to support a major large-scale construction project in Spain. The role will be site-based and will involve overseeing electrical installation, coordination with MEP disciplines, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with project specifications and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage electrical installation works across a large-scale construction project
- Coordinate electrical scope with mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire systems as part of the wider MEP package
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and schematics
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure quality and programme adherence
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems
- Ensure all works comply with Spanish regulations, European standards, and project HSE requirements
- Attend site meetings and provide regular progress and technical reports
- Interface with project management, QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives

Electrical Systems Scope

- LV & MV power distribution
- Transformers, switchgear, panels, and containment
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Lighting and emergency lighting
- Cable routing, tray, ladder, and conduit systems
- Interface with BMS, fire alarm, and life-safety systems

Requirements

- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience on large-scale construction projects (industrial, infrastructure, or complex buildings)
- Strong background in MEP coordination and site-based delivery
- Experience working with EPCs, main contractors, or major subcontractors
- Knowledge of Spanish electrical regulations and EU standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary construction environment

- Previous experience on complex or high-value construction projects
- Commissioning or testing experience
- Spanish speaking (Fluent)
