ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College School, Murcia is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Secondary History Teacher to join our Humanities Department from April on a temporary basis to cover a period of leave. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and rigorous History lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across the secondary age range
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress effectively
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Contribute to curriculum planning within the Humanities team
- Support students’ academic and personal development
- Participate in meetings, parents’ evenings and school events
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching History at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the English National Curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A collaborative and professional approach to teaching
- Availability to take up a temporary role from April
