**What are you going to do?**

This role will allow you to co-create and further develop our models and solutions with access to a multi-disciplinary and highly motivated team.

**What are your key accountabilities?**

Organization
- Defines and implements the Quality organization for the BU including structure, required capabilities and governance based on global design principles and assures alignment to changes in the organization and business strategy, ensures an adequate talent pipeline based on global guidelines
- Provides quality related training to ensure continuous improvement of workforce.
- Ensures regular updates on trends & development in quality & regulations - networks with internal and external parties and governmental bodies to ensure up to date information is readily available
- Creates a learning Quality community and network in own BU and with peers thereby ensuring best practice development through sharing of knowledge, successes, and learnings.
- Works closely together with the other disciplines including Regulatory Affairs, Product management and Operations to meet the quality & compliance objectives of the BU

Quality & Compliance policies and systems
- Supports as member of the Quality Leadership Team TN the development of TN Quality policies, standards and tools and is member in working groups to maintain and improve the Quality framework in line with business needs
- Defines and executes Quality Strategy for the Business Unit based on the Global Quality Strategy of Trouw Nutrition
- Supports and leads OpCo’s in implementation of the TN Quality system and Q processes and guarantees the relevant certificates are retained
- Responsible for the Quality Assurance Laboratory Programs at all (production and other) facilities to ensure they meet company and customer requirements
- Responsible for processes and supporting the OpCos to allow registration of feed additives in other countries

Continuous improvement
- Drives continuous improvement of Quality processes in the organization
- Works closely together with other disciplines to improve Quality performance (eg operational and sales excellence initiatives)
- Conducts risk-based assessments / improvement programs to minimize impact of any process and product deficiencies
- Provides training to QA community, and to other disciplines for specific Q processes such as complaints management

Customer satisfaction
- Develops and manages Customer QA relationships
- Establishes, reviews, approves and documents Ingredient and Final Product specs into the appropriate systems to assure compliance to both Nutreco and customer expectations.
- Ensures the treatment and (root cause) analysis of product complaints, so that corrective and preventive measures can be initiated.
- Maintains contacts with the Customer Services / Sales in case of major or severe complaints.
- Advises on solutions and (financial) arrangements with the customer in order to solve the complaints.
- Participates in crisis situations (contaminations, severe product defects, etc.) in the relevant crisis teams in order to mitigate / control adverse effects for the organization and / or customers and conduct root cause analyses to prevent incidents

Communication
- Promotes / sponsors all aspects of Quality Assurance with all relevant departments
- Supports the communication of quality & compliance programs, standards and performance to the organization

Audits & visits
- Regularly visits OpCos for continuous improvement (discuss observations and opportunities, inspire)
- Organizes, guides and executes external quality audits
- Reports the outcome of quality audits to the relevant stakeholders, monitors any follow-up actions
- Approves new facilities and external manufacturing sites
