Transport Manager

Our people are our most valuable asset. To support and reinforce our Supply Chain team we are looking for a Transport Manager.

**Mission and Key Tasks**:
The main objective of the transport manager is to guarantee sufficient capacity for all outbound transport planned - both to customers and to other delivery plants - and this in a cost-efficient manner.
- Transport planning
- Guaranteeing sufficient transport capacity in all countries in cooperation with Group Procurement.
- Optimizing new and existing Transport Flows in collaboration with Group Supply Chain.
- Contribution to the service level Target by minimizing and being able to explain the LO and TR losses.
- Management and follow-up of all carriers within the Segovia distribution network including the leading of evaluation meetings with the main carriers. Implementing and defining actions to improve processes and KPIs.
- Drawing up a representative transport budget and monitoring that actuals are in line.
- Follow up of the planned and still to be planned shipment in SAP.
- Keep control over different intercompany flows and track changes with production planning,
- Monitoring the various work processes and historical trends.
- Customs documents
- Support and implement new developments.
- First contact for customs on permits and controls
- Transport costs
- Identify efficiency improvements and implement cost savings.
- Approve additional costs when changes and accept transport orders.
- Comment on discrepancies between actual costs and transport budget
- Assign carriers to the list of “approved carriers.”
- Maintain transport prices in SAP (TK Module) and transporeon (TI contract)
- Make price agreements with carriers for orders that are not yet retired.
- Personnel matters
- Ensure a good atmosphere and healthy mind in the department.
- Motivate the team members.
- Follow up and approve leave of absence.
- Provide support with daily operational problems.
- Performance management administration
- Pallet’s Administration
- Follow-up of all pallet's stock in consultation with the pallet manager
- Communication with customer service for open balances at customers
- Discussing and coordinating pallet's stock with the carriers
- Define action plans to optimize return flow
- Administration of transport invoices
- Checking the transport provisions in SAP
- Approval of all transport invoices
- Follow-up of the credit notes to be received and the transport invoices

**Background and Experience**:

- University degree or equivalent education of academic level. Preferrable in the field of engineering or supply chain related areas.
- Excellent people management skills
- Several years’ experience in SAP ERP, WM | MM | SD
- Results driven, flexible, efficient and able to cope with stress
- Smooth communication skills, problem solver and team player
- Excellent knowledge of English and Spanish is required. Other languages are a plus
