**Job Description**:
**Position Summary**
The Financial Controller is the “Business Partner” to the Burgos management team. In addition, the role includes working closely with the Divisional finance team organization as a whole, to help achieve and optimize the locations profitability, through providing accurate financial & KPI data and challenging the status quo and driving strategic initiatives. This role requires at least 50% of presence on site.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Act as a Business partner to the local and the division’s Functional Leaders on a mix of strategic and tactical activities;
- Support the Business Unit Manager in key location activities
- Establish credibility within the business to be able to advise and challenge the location leadership team;
- Take ownership of the month end close and outlooking process for Burgos establishing a process to continually improve on outlook accuracy;
- Manage and develop the Burgos Finance team;
- Drive profitability improvements and simplification through data analysis;
- Oversee systems, policies and processes effectively to ensure data accuracy and timeliness, as well as compliance with internal/external audits;
- Develop talents, mentor and guide others in the business being a positive role model for the rest of the division;
- Improve the understanding of financial and key metrics at the location;
- Manage the relationship with external Payroll and managing statutory requirements of the location;
- Manage cross functional business improvement projects;
- Support on corporate initiatives related to ITW Culture and Business Model embodying ITW values;

**Qualifications**:
**Position skills and experience requirements include**:

- Strong accountability and commitment to the division as a whole;
- Strong communication skills and credibility when interacting with all colleague and leadership around the business creating strong relationships;
- Significant post qualification experience in being responsible for a full P&L and balance sheet, and financial systems responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree and financial professional qualification (ACCA/ CIMA).
- Analytical and inquisitive - able to explain the story behind the numbers and discern when something does not make sense.
- Influence skills, ability to deliver results both through directly and indirectly managed teams.
- Some experience of working in a manufacturing business with a good understanding of inventory management and cost accounting.
- Strong track record of driving operational improvements/ERP projects to support the business strategy.
- Willingness to travel to other sites from time-to-time.
