**The position in a nutshell**:

- We are looking for a Test Engineer in the perimeter of Aircraft Communication Systems. Therefore, the roles and responsibilities lay within the IV&V activities with the final target of demonstrating the correct performance of Airborne Communication Systems
- The testing is performed at different levels, from Virtual Testing stages up to Laboratory Subsystem and Global System Integration Rigs but eventually giving also support to on-Aircraft Ground & Flight testing if required.
- The team gives support to all the different programs within the Spanish Airbus Defence and Space portfolio (Eurofighter, A400M, Derivatives, Light & Medium, Eurodrone, SIRTAP, Helicopters, FCAS, etc.).
- Examples of Comms, Networking & Connectivity systems under test are the following ones**:

- HF and V/UHF Radios and associated antennas**:

- WB & NB Satellite communications (e.g., Inmarsat/Iridium SATCOM, JREAP)**:

- Audio/Voice systems, including Audio Management Systems (e.g., CAMU)**:

- InterComm Systems, Headsets/Microphones, etc**:

- **Software Defined Radios**
**- IP-Based Communications and Intelligent **Routers and Switches**:

- **MANET, VANET and FANET systems**
- **LTE/4G/5G Comms systems**

**RESPONSIBILITIES/MAIN TASKS**
- The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
- **Preparation of all datasets necessary prior to the run time test execution, including the creation and maintenance of Rig Test Cases/Procedures, assessment of test concepts/strategies, etc.**- **Operation of the Rig Test Equipment (both standard and special-to-type equipment) during run time exercises, including Initialisation protocolos, Crypto Loading, etc.**- **Analysis of system behavior and test results and creation of respective Test Reporting documentation, in liaison with the corresponding Design Office specialists**- **Creation of specific failure reporting (System Problem Reports) and management of their lifecycle, including root cause investigation**

**SKILLS and HIGHER EDUCATION**
- _At least 2 years of experience in Radiofrequency Communications Systems Engineering and at least 1 year experience in testing environments for complex systems _
- _Knowledge and/or experience in the following disciplines will be very positively valued: _
- _General Test Support Systems, especially MaTE, AIDASS, SEAS, LabView, etc. _
- _Digital data-buses (Ethernet, 1553B, ARINC429, etc.) _
- _Software programming languages (Python, MatLab, Scripting, etc) and big data analysis tools _
- _Ethernet Standards including network security technologies (Firewall, VPN, IPSEC/GRE, AES ) _
- _Routers, Switches, management and monitoring systems, CISCO, QoS, VoIP _
- _Reporting processes and tools (DOORS, Octane, FTNet, DMS, PCMS, PRMS, Agilo, etc) _
- _Advanced level in English _and Spanish _, technical and general, so that face to face negotiations can properly be managed. _

- _NATO security clearance in force (or equivalent) or at least being eligible for it by the recognized authorities. _
- _Be eligible for ITAR and National Export Control coverage _
