Industrialization Engineer for PLM

**Purpose of the Job**

To perform the activities assigned by the department leader, in accordance with the engineering process for the design, from system requirements to system implementation and validation, for hardware projects taking into account the “standard platform” approach being rolled out by ALSTOM for software development projects in Spain.

To provide technical collaboration at project level, for development and testing activities as follows:

- To understand system requirements, carry out gap analysis with ALSTOM standard platform.
- To execute hardware development activities required for system/subsystems, to match system requirements, taking into account Quality/Cost/Delivery (QCD) objectives of the project
- Co-ordinate with other engineering members/ disciplines of the project
- To execute industrialization activities, ensure that the product manufactured complies with the specifications, quality and cost defined

**Mission**

**Objectives**
- Design, Develop, Validate and Test hardware modules in the field of railway signalling. Participating in signalling projects, developing new modules or adapting existing ones to fulfil the project requirements (mainly in the interlocking area) and V&V them, with adequate quality, schedule and right cost.
- Collaborate with GSI (ALPS) Team with PLM activities
- It will include not only the generation of documentation, but also the test on-site.
- Make tracking of manufacturing and associated costs
- Manage in collaboration with Supply Chain the collection of materials for manufacturing

**Measurement**
- Work finished before the deadline of the activity in the general planning of the project.
- Specifications fulfilment
- Acceptance and satisfaction by the customer
- Quality of the documentation
- Hours charged

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for technical tasks

By doing so, always has to have in mind if the compliance with system requirements are aligned with ALSTOM standard platform policy
- Ensures the quality of his job to contribute to the quality of the system being delivered

Educational Requirements

University degree (medium level as minimum) in hardware engineering or 3 year experience in similar work.

**Desired Knowledge / Experience**

A minimum of 3 year experience in the area of hardware development for supervisory or control systems and hardware system integration.

Technical Skills & Competencies
- ALPS Knowledge
- Good Knowledge about Industrialization process
- Knowledge of analog electronic circuits.
- Knowledge about electronic safety related circuits (specially safety relays)
- Desirable knowledge about Safety, RAM and EMC.
- Desirable knowledge about verification and validation.
- Good Knowledge of industrial communication standards and system integration procedures for supervisory systems.

Job Location

Madrid (option to smartworking), in ALSTOM Transport Information Solutions premises.

Some times travel will be required, specially during the starting phase of the projects and in the commissioning phase.
