Verification Engineer

As a **Verification Engineer**, become a part of a cross-functional development team working for the Keysight Technologies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Defining, planning, implementing and executing validation tests of 5G Conformance
- Identify design issues and propose solutions
- Test and evaluate subsystems as well as overall systems
- Specify and evaluate new test equipment to assure proper performance test capability
- Generate and maintain test plans
- Create Defect reports and issue logs in test management systems
- Reproduce the defects as required by the Dev team
- Create and maintain best practices and do peer code/solution reviews
- Comply with Testing Process, documentation templates and tools
- Contribute towards the creation of a knowledge repository
- Debug issues arising from system tests, radio conformance test (RCT)
- Identify the User experience KPIs and tests based on the product specification and define test methods to uncover the issues. Define detailed test plans and approach for testing, developing test tools to achieve the same
- Plan the test approach and scope, execute test cases, record and manage defects
- Communicate issues with great detail and help development teams assess the risk level and fix issues faster
- Responsible for analyzing the Data Quality reports. Drives clean-up and prevention of data quality issue

**Requirements**:
This position requires an engineering professional with a good understanding of different wireless communication systems such as LTE/5G, including the corresponding technical specifications (e.g. TS 38.521-x, 38.533 ) ability to provide insightful, effective consulting and advice to product developers.

- A Bachelor or Master Degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering
- 1-2 years on RF performance development or testing
- Knowledge of 3GPP (UMTS, LTE, 5G) Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocol and call processing. Other compliance test methodologies (FCC/ETSI/TELEC ) will be a plus
- Experience with different lab equipment: network analyzers, signal generators, signal analyzers, call boxes (UXM)
- Experience with antenna tests, antenna and wave propagation, CATRs, radiation performance evaluation like EIRP, TRP, Spherical Coverage is a plus
- Windows User mode and kernel-mode driver knowledge for mobile devices (Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G). Knowledge of Windows UMDF/KMDF Drivers for Modems preferably USB based modem over MBIM Protocol, NDIS mini-port drivers
- Experience with Work Management/Ticketing SW: Jira (ideally), Remedy, SalesForce
- Automation level coding experience in C#, Python or power shell scripting desirable. Test automation using Keysight TAP is a plus
- English level B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)
