We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive VFX Artist to join our busy Hexworks studio and support driving our games forward.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Are you passionate about crafting dark, atmospheric and impactful visual effects? This is your chance to join our talented team and work on the next big instalment in Lords of the Fallen franchise

**Creative Vision and Execution**:

- Collaborate closely with the Art Director and Lead VFX Artist to develop and execute compelling visual effects concepts that align with the game's dark fantasy aesthetic.
- Create and refine VFX assets, ensuring they enhance the game's atmosphere and storytelling.

**Technical Proficiency**:

- Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create high-quality, real-time visual effects.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of rendering, lighting, and physics principles to achieve optimal visual results.
- Optimize VFX performance for various platforms.

**Collaboration and Teamwork**:

- Effectively communicate and collaborate across the teams.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback on lighting, colour, texture, timing and impact to continuously improve the visual quality of the project.
- Contribute to efficient workflow and problem-solving within the VFX team.

**Key Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of professional experience in creating real-time VFX for AA+ games.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine and Niagara for visual effects creation.
- Solid understanding of relevant software and tools (Houdini, Embergen, Photoshop, Substance Designer, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective cross-discipline collaboration.
- Passion for games and a keen interest in the gaming industry.

**Bonus points for**:

- Technical knowledge of rendering, lighting, and physics.
- Experience developing VFX for Action-RPG games.
- Knowledge of destruction animation.

**Recruitment Process**:

- Initial call with Talent Acquisition Specialist - During this call you'll learn about the company and we learn about you. We'll talk about your experience & expectations with working in a fully remote environment and we'll talk about your expertise. We'll finish this call with some admin questions. There will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions as well.
- After the initial call, usually 1 or 2 interviews with the hiring team follows. These interviews will be a bit more technical and will go deeper into your experience, skills & knowledge. As you would have signed an NDA by now, you'll also learn a bit more about the project you would work on. During these interviews we'll also focus on finding out whether you're a good fit for our company culture and that we share the same values.
- We may or may not ask you to do the test - this is decided on an individual basis and you will receive instructions with the test.
- If everything goes well, the last step in the recruitment process is the offer presentation call with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and your future line manager to discuss the offer and next steps to get you successfully on board.
