**Profile**
- The role:
The Power Plant Component Quality Expert reports to the Global VP of Quality Management and is part of the Operations function. The Power Plant Component Quality Expert is responsible for Technical Due Diligence (TDD) of power plants. They review the performance and the reliability of the power plants and their key components, as well as warranty claims. The Power Plant Component Quality Expert leads the technical assessments, supports acquisition processes and construction & operation of power plants.
The Power Plant Component Quality Expert reviews and assesses technical and warranty terms of EPC and component supply contracts. In case discrepancies with standards are identified, they propose technical and commercial mitigation measures and align these measures within the interdisciplinary Sonnedix One-Team. They drive or support the implementation of mitigation measures. They support the definition or improvement of technical contractual terms and conditions. They actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Sonnedix´s minimum quality and warranty requirements for PV components and power plants. They actively contribute to the scope of work for TDD service providers, assessing power plants prior to acquisition. They support negotiations with sellers of power plants. They analyze PV component defects and manage related warranty claims.

Desirable skills:

- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or in Physics
- Sound knowledge of key PV component technologies (modules, mounting structures, inverters, transformers) and power plant design (PVSyst energy yield simulation, GCR optimization, module configuration, mounting structure specification, soil, topography, hydrological considerations etc.)
- Relevant experience in EPC contracts, supplier quality management and warranty claim management
- Business English
- Willingness to travel across Sonnedix jurisdictions and supplier locations worldwide incl. China
