**What you’ll do**
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs.
- Develop and implement ETL processes for ingesting and transforming large volumes of data.
- Manage and optimize data storage and retrieval systems.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
- Help transform raw data to meaningful business insights.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering.
- Create data solutions to process data at scale to support a wide range of data-driven projects and support our transformation into a data-driven, AI-ready organisation.
- Be a catalyst for adoption of a data-centric culture within the company and assist users in leveraging the power of data for their business domain.
- Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex structured and semi-structured data sets.
- Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related role.
- Strong proficiency in Advanced SQL and Python.
- Proven experience in Snowflake (cloning, time travel, transformations, row and column based security concepts and data governance understanding)
- Hands on experience with Google Composer and Airflow.
- Report Building and visualisation experience
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT, data integration and orchestration, data warehousing, data modelling concepts and automation.
- Data acquisition and Change Data Capture (CDC) experience. Best practice in metadata driven approaches utilising event driven data pipelines, code reuse and performance tuning
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
